It‘s one of the executive financial directorates in the provinces; its assignment is:
- To represent MOF within the province limits and the valid laws and rules and implement its administrative and accounting assignments through the decentralization principle.
- To implement various financial assignments relating to revenues and expenditures within the province limits according to the valid laws and rules.

1) The organizational structure of Hassakeh directorate of finance:

Three directorates of finance are subordinate to the directorate in the province. They implement their entrusted assignments according to the valid laws and rules:
- the directorate of finance in Al-Kamishli
- the directorate of finance in Al-Malkiya
- the directorate of finance in Ra’as Al-Ain

1) The Directorate structure & the floor distribution:
- The central directorate in Hassakeh: locates in the mid of the city beside the Post Building overlooking Augarit St & Ibn Al-Mokaffa’a St. the building was opened on 1998 consists of downstairs and four floors in which the departments are distributed as follows:

1. Downstairs contains: counter for the collectors of state’s properties – essential stores – central heating – switchboard – generator for IT department.
2. ground floor: contains collection department (office collectors – the hall of one-stop window with /10/ m height – offices – public money collectors – internal supervision)
3. first floor contains: treasury department (main funds – pensions – the staff) –
 IT department
4. second floor contains: director of finance office – revenues department – administrative department – public debt
5. third floor contains: income department – tax inquiry – Consumption tax section – the mosque

The employees’ number is /389/: /103/ first category,

 /146/ second category, /85/ third category,
 /34/ fourth category and /21/ fifth category.
The employees allocate as follows: /205/ employee in the province center, /116/ in Al-Kamishli, /37/ in Al-Malkiya and /31/ in Ra’as Al-Ain.

3) The directorate of finance in Al-Kamisli:
it locates within the government complex - second floor, in Al-Quatli St, and occupies /16/ offices. A new location, beside the local stadium, is currently being built; the building consists of four floors and downstairs and will be ended on 2005. this directorate is very important because of its taxpayers’ number, which is approximately equal the taxpayers’ number in the center,  with regard to income and real estates tax:

it rents the first floor in government complex in the city and occupies also another nearby building for
 revenues department. Studies are presently prepared to build a new location of two floors & downstairs on bought land in front of city council.
