Legislative decree no/60/ dated 9/9/2004 stipulates cancellation of the provisions of law /19/ dated 3/6/1990.

*Article /1/ :  From the beginning of 1/1/2005 , the provisions of  

                    law /19/ dated 3/6/1990 considered invalid.

*Article /2/:   Charges resulting from issuing passport stated in    

                    article no /9/ of law no /42/ dated 31/12/1975 and

                    its amendments ,amount to /1500 Syrian Pounds

                    /(only one thousand five hundred Syrian Pounds ).

    

Article/3/:       Due expatriation duties which paid before executing

                     this decree (till 31/12/2005) are exempted from

                     delay penalties.

            

Article/4/:       This decree publishes in official newspaper, and will

                      be effective at 1/1/2005 .

According to article no/1/ of this decree and its provisions , expatriation duty is cancelled from the beginning of 1/1/2005, whereas due duties of year 2004 and before should be settled .

Article/3/ includes Due expatriation duties which paid before executing this decree (till 31/12/2005) are exempted from delay penalties, this exemption is valid from the issuing date of this decree , and Article/4/ stipulates this decree will be effective at 1/1/2005 . Annual due duties replace expatriation duty since it has been cancelled, this comes corresponding to the new stated charges of passport from the date 1/1/2005 which replace the previous passport charges of the cancelled law no/19/ dated 3/6/1990).  )
