Legislative decree no78 year2006 concerns expatriation allowances of diplomatic heads ,consulate ,their workers ,those who are under their provision Syrian Arab RepublicLegislative decree no./78 / President of Syrian Arab Republic According to the provisions of legislative decree no./50/dated 25/8/1964 , of basic government employees law no./50/dated 6/12/2004 issue the following : Article-1-: expatriation allowance of diplomatic missions heads and consulate and its workers (those who are under their provision ) is determined according to the stated amounts of the mentioned groups and on the base of their net wages . Article-2-In neighbor countries that are not mentioned in the first article of this decree the tariff of a high value will be applied Article-3-Aratio of (25%) is added to expatriation allowance of government employees who have been delegated for a period not exceeding one week , whereas if this period is between one week to one month then added ratio will be (10%). Article-4-Heads of diplomatic missions , their workers and those who are under their provision receive net monthly wages in accordance with stated amounts. Article-5-Dues of heads of diplomatic missions and consulates are calculated in Syrian Pounds , their equivalents in American Dollars are restrictedly calculated according to state exchange bulletin ,then allocations of diplomatic mission sand consulates besides dues of their heads and workers ( those who are under their provision) transferred to the local currency of the country they have been delegated to or to any currency of the following : EURO-US DOLLAR-STERLING POUND-SWISS FRANC according to bulletin of Central bank of Syria . The transfer currency is determined by virtue of decision of Foreign minister in agreement with Syrian Central Bank. Article-6-As this decree comes enforce in case the exchange of SP/US Dollar changes the above mentioned amounts in articles no(1)and (4) would be modified according to a decision of prime minister upon a suggestion of minister of finance which keeps the amount of due foreign currency of the included people . Article-7- If a salary increase occurs wages and expatriation allowances should not be less than their amounts before this increase . Article-8- Legislative decree no./58/ dated 13/2/2006 is terminated Article-9-This decree publishes in official newspaper and deemed valid from the 1/3/2006 Damascus 30/1/1427 AH 28/2/2006 President of Republic BASHAR AL-ASSAD |
